New Year's Resolutions

EST. | 2016

ITS BACK! February 18 2023

Get your year started off with a fun charity group ride presented by Speed Hound. In June of 2021 we hosted more than 100 athletes to a 24 hour challenge- and now we are back with a new Solitary Confinement event!

This year we are bringing together cyclists once again to test their limits for 3, 6 or 12 hours!

A bit more "goal focused" and a bit less "race" orientated this year.

Last year we held a challenging, structured event- but our event grew to be a bit too big for the restraints of the Zwift Platform.

This year we are going with a "by donation" entry fee and a single 12 hour ride event.

Instead we just want to bring together a group of Endurance athletes who want to challenge see how far they can go in 1 day.

If you feel riding 4 hours is enough of a challenge- just join us for 4! Or 8, or 12. Whatever fits for you.

During the day (and/or night) You can stop for snack breaks / bathroom breaks whenever you wish, just don't log out of your account.

We will start the event together a 8:00 am MST on Zwift.

First off you are going to need a power meter or SMART bike trainer to participate. Heart Rate  is encouraged, On March 6th at 7:00AM MST all athletes will login to their ZWIFT account and start together.

The course will be flat- just as it was in our 2020 challenge.

Athletes will add the race director as a "friend" on Zwift so that after the event is over we can go and see how far everyone got! This also means that if you have technical issues and you are logged out of Zwift.. you are still able to "ride with" the group even if you are kick'ed.

We'll record your total distance in a post-event results page, but we won't have prizes for this years challenge

Frequently Asked Questions

In an effort to help streamline common question we will post relevant question below:

1. What countries are able to enter this event?

ANYONE! If you have a smart trainer or power meter and a internet connection- you can join in on the fun!

2. Will there be a video feed?

Yes! We plan to have a youtube live feed. Anyone participating can login to Zoom and join in on the broadcast to keep in touch and motivate the other athletes

Entry Fee and CAF

As I am sure you are aware - we have some minor costs to cover when it comes to organizing a event like this. All we require for entry is a minimum $5 donation via the paypal link above. It's not much- but it does go a long way in making sure that expenses are covered

Donate - and we'll contact you with pre event info via email. If your paypal is linked to a different email than you would prefer to use- simply type your preferred email address in the "added info" section.

in 2021 we managed to raise over $5000 USD for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. It would be great if you would consider sending this awesome organization some spare change to help them support their athletes.
